The National Recording Preservation Board

of the Library of Congress recently invited me to write some essays for the National Recording Registry. This is a real privilege for me. The Registry has published two of my essays so far: Jimi Hendrix’s Are You Experienced and Junior Wells’ Hoodoo Man Blues (with Buddy Guy).

The Registry includes those recordings that exemplify the range and diversity of American recorded sound and is part of the larger mission of the National Recording Preservation Board, to preserve our recorded music heritage for future generations. I hope to contribute more to this important program in the future.
